藝術19街 WE HOUSE

基地位於東海學區，台中都會公園旁的藝術街。前陽台外有樹梢綠蔭宛如遠離都會區的人文街坊。屋主本身從事室內設計工作，對於室內日常節能也做部分鑽研，因此節能將是本案的一大主軸。在空間改造計畫上，首先得將結構，表層，格局，機能，採光，通風，材質，一併重新做一次通盤總體檢。

首先，去除原有隔間牆，將所有自然光串連，並釋放客廳面積。為達到節能的目的，將原有開窗位置及大小因應空間機能也做了部分調整，朝東邊的大面落地窗，則改為直式的推射窗（氣窗），主要是減少夏天大面積陽光直射造成室內溫度上升，一方面利用導板原理讓自然風流入屋內，降低夏日空調的使用率，已達到節能的效果。

樸實的材質隨著時間的推移，呈現出歲月所遺留下來的痕跡。簡化的意義在於，

在節水方面利用熱迴水系統，避免冬天熱水管冷卻因等待造成水源的浪費，另一方面結合地熱系統一併解決冬天地板冰冷的問題。浴室設備採用節能標章的兩段式沖水馬桶也是愛地球的一種方式。

材質方面盡量簡化也是本案的訴求，堅持保留建築純粹的樣貌，以最常見也最容易取得的材料為優先考量，磁磚，水泥粉光，生鐵板，玻璃，不鏽鋼，實木等材質。天花板則是以木絲水泥板為主，細部處理利用不對稱製造出單一材質的層次變化。

使人與空間的關係更為親暱，進而回歸空間最初的本質。

This case is located at Art Street, near by Tunghai University and Taichung Metropolitan Park. The shade of trees, just outside of the front balcony, successfully created a cultural neighborhood away from the metropolitan area.  Because the owner is an interior designer and interested in studying daily energy saving, Energy Saving would be the main concept of this case.  First, the designer needs to inspect the structure, surface, function, lighting, ventilation and materials, cause it’ll be a great transformation plan.

To achieve the goals of energy saving, the designer removes partition walls to connect all ambient light and sets the area of the living room free.  Besides, he replaces the original French window, which is faced to east, with straight-type transoms.  This not only leads natural wind into the space but also lowers indoor temperature to reduce the use of air conditioner in summer rates.     

Using circulating water system to avoid waiting for hot water cause waste, and also combined the geothermal system to solve the problem of floor cold in winter.  Besides, the usage of bathroom equipment with energy labels is one of the best way of a green lifestyle as well.

Materials simplified is also a point for this case.  The designer insists on retaining the original of building, so he gives priority to the most common and accessible materials, like ceramic tiles, cement finish, cast iron, glass, stainless, wood, and so on.  Wood-wool cement board is chosen as the single material for the ceiling, and deals with asymmetrical design to make various levels of change. 

As time goes, traces of the years can be seen clearly on these simple materials. To simplify makes people and space more intimacy, and then returns to the essence of space.
